Subject: May 2021 UDC Community Platform Amendments to Form & Intensity Standards
Dear Zoning Commissioners,
I write today to comment on the City’s ongoing Community Platform project and the currently
scheduled May 2021 Text Amendments regarding Form and Intensity Standards. We agree with the
City’s assessment that the building heights section of the code needs revision to be better aligned with
current building practices, and this amendment addresses that expectation.
Specifically, this letter is submitted to show support for the updates to maximum building heights in
the R-O and B-2 Zones. By allowing 50 – 60 ft. maximum building heights, the resulting buildings can
reflect a more desirable and flexible building design that is appropriate for these zones.
Thank you for your review of these comments and your work updating the Unified Development Code
to better reflect community needs.
Sincerely,
Ryan Krueger AICP
