Dear Bozeman City Commission members and Mayor Andrus,
I write this in support of Christopher Coburn for appointment to the vacant seat on the
commission.
Mr. Coburn seems to me an extraordinary young man and a living resource to our community,
with leadership skills, professional qualifications, and community-service experience that are
valuable in general—and especially valuable in ways about which we have learned over the past
year. With a Master’s in Public Health, board service experience both in public health and in
gender-equity issues, and now experience on the health board’s Vaccine Distribution Task Force,
Christopher is perfectly equipped to help this city through one of its most difficult challenges . . .
and into a less fraught, more thriving future. I’m sure that, if appointed, he will be a keenly
human, concerned, well-prepared and moderating voice amid all the difficult discussions on issues
of all sorts that you face. If this were a regular election, I for one would vote for him
enthusiastically. I hope you will give him strong and positive consideration.
Thank you for all the work you do for our community, and for considering this citizen’s two cents.
