Mr. Coburn is well qualified and is very interested in this position. This is the second time Mr. Coburn has applied for this position and I think he is the best choice at this time. An appointment now would give Mr. Coburn the opportunity to see how well he can do in the position and whether he would like the job well enough to run for office in the fall. This several month period would give the community the opportunity to view how Mr. Coburn performs. Although I know Mr. Woods well and think he would do well in this position, I think it would be best for Mr. Woods to run for office in the fall if he remains interested at that time. Many people in the city already know Mr. Woods. I think it is the opportune time to appoint Mr. Coburn who will bring a fresh perspective and new ideas to the city commission in this challenging time. That all of you for serving our community.
