Mr. Mayor and Bozeman City Commissioners, I'm pleased to write in support of Tom Woods for
appointment to the vacancy on the commission. I've served with Tom in the Montana Legislature and know
first-hand his devotion to public service and to the people of Bozeman and Gallatin County. Through his
work as an elected official in Montana's House of Representatives, Tom championed the rights and
opportunities for every Montanan, with particular emphasis on the people of his home city. Tom is adept at
navigating public processes and considering complex and challenging civic problems, and in gathering
stakeholders, knowledgeable contributors, people with differing opinions, and those affected by city
decisions together to find solutions. Tom knows well the intricacies of programs and projects in our
community, whether city, county, university, union, public health-related, public services, and more. He
served with distinction at the state level and would bring the same dedication to the Bozeman City
Commission. Please do give full weight and measure to Tom Woods' nomination. The people of Bozeman
and the citizens of Montana already have been fortunate to have Tom in public service, and we'd benefit
from his experience, expertise, and desire to continue serving us. Thank you.
