I strongly support the candidacy of Tom Woods to fill the vacancy (due to Commissioner Wallner's
resignation) on the Bozeman City Commission. I attended several talks by Tom during his recent run for the
state Public Service Commission, and was impressed both by his knowledge of complex energy supply and
utility pricing issues, and by his drive and evident dedication to public service. I have no doubt that he will
bring his formidable talents to the City Commission and be a good steward for Bozeman residents. I have
also met him personally on several occasions, and find him to be humble yet knowledgeable and
approachable, qualities which should serve him well in working with others toward finding practical
solutions to some of the difficult challenges facing Bozeman.
We are fortunate that Tom Woods has stepped forward to seek appointment to the City Commission, and I
urge its members to seize this opportunity and appoint Tom Woods as its new City Commissioner.
