Christopher has served on the Gallatin City-County Board of Health throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. He knows what public service looks and feels like, and has the necessary experience to serve as a City Commissioner. Christopher consistently participates in City processes. He attends and provides comments during commission meetings and engages in a wide variety of outreach efforts. He knows a lot about how the City and the Commission operate, and will be able to jump right in. Christopher clearly cares about Bozeman, and his involvement proves it. He has worked collaboratively to address some of our biggest issues – like mental health stigma, food access, and housing. Christopher knows what’s happening in Bozeman because he is connected to our community. He engages and is accessible – making him a perfect fit for the Commission. The median age in Bozeman is 28, and yet we don't have a single Commissioner in their 20's, 30's or 40's.Christopher is a young professional who knows, first hand, the challenges of trying to establish yourself in Bozeman. His perspective and lived experience will be a valuable addition to the Commission. Christopher rents an apartment and, like many people, is directly impacted by the affordable housing crisis. We need to include people who are experiencing the issues as we work to solve them.
