The proposed R-4 high-density zoning for the Buffalo Run project adjacent to Meadow Creek is not in-line
with the density of houses surrounding the development and poses a risk to the safety of the residents
within Meadow Creek. Specifically, the site of the Buffalo Run development is adjacent to Ainsworth Park,
which kids access by riding their bikes and scooters along Kurk Drive, one of the two proposed access points
to the Buffalo Run development. In addition, the proposed density of housing is not in accordance with the
R-4 Unified Development Code, which states it is meant to be "adjacent to mixed-use districts, commercial
districts and/or served by transit". Meadow Creek is a quiet, family focused community and the proposed
development of Buffalo Run at R-4 will change the character and safety of the area. I strongly discourage
the Zoning Commission from approving the development at a R-4 level and support development at the R-3
or R-2 levels, in accordance with the Meadow Creek subdivision.
