What isat issue is not simply building in our backyards, but ruining our backyards. Growth in Bozeman is unstoppable because it is a great place to live. I worry, however, that in the rush tobuild to accommodate new residents, we destroy some of the established neighborhoods and the Bozeman lifestyle they embody. Driving around Bozeman is a test of patience and car shocks. So much infrastructuredevelopment is needed to keep the city working. The only access road for the proposed new development runs through Meadow Creek. I worry the road will be destroyed by the weight ofcement trucks, lumber trucks, excavation equipment, etc. This street is currently a place children cross safely, dogs walk, and wildlife roams. That Bozeman lifestyle could bedestroyed within a matter of months with the current construction plan. How can the current infrastructure support the new development? How can we be assured of our children's safetyand our neighborhood's safety? I doubt a 25 mph speed limit would deter anyone from driving 45 mph in the rush to get to construction work or home from work. When hundreds of condosare built, what safeguards will there be for the inevitable traffic? I love my backyard. I am willing to share it, but not see it destroyed. Gail Beaudoin 3406 South 29 Avenue
