I am a resident of Meadow Creek. As a general comment, I am very concerned about the City
of Bozeman's ongoing failure to obtain sufficient financial support from project developers for
new infrastructure demands placed upon the City by their projects. Too often, the cost for
expanding sewers, water, streets, sidewalks and stormwater mitigation ends up falling on we,
the existing residents. It is bad enough when the infrastructure requirements are clearly
known before a project is approved. In the case of the Buffalo Run development, there are too
many unknowns to even accurately project the impact that this project will have on the
surrounding community. As just one example, our water pressure is currently well below
desirable levels and further development without proper system expansion will only aggravate
the problem.
I urge the Commissioners to demand a Traffic Impact Study as well as thorough review of
exactly what structures will be included in this project before a permit is issued. Based upon
what I know of this project, I do not believe that an R-4 Designation is appropriate.
