Dear Commissioners,
I am very concerned about the new zoning application submitted by the developers of Buffalo
Run. There is no traffic impact study, nor details about the number and types of buildings tobe constructed. That said, it is still a high density zone they are requesting and hence will lead
to greater traffic burdens on Fowler, Stucky, and Kurk Drive. The idea of pouring more trafficonto Stucky is irresponsible, as the backups at 19th are already very long during critical
commute times. Kurk Drive runs through a neighborhood filled with children on bikes andscooters. Additionally, the proposed location is not a mixed-use or commercial district, and is
not served by transit. It is still a rural area. I question how well these developers know thelocation.
More reasonable would be an R-3 zoning. This would still involve road work, but would
place less of traffic burden on Stucky and within the Meadow Creek residentialneighborhood.
