NOTICE OF A SITE PLAN APPLICATION
This application is evaluated against the Site Plan criteria of Section 38.230.100, the Landscape Block
Frontage Departure criteria of 38.510.030.C.3, and the residential open space criteria of
38.520.060.B.1.b of the municipal code and associated standards. Per 38.230.100.B, BMC, approval is
granted if all criteria are met.
The public may comment in writing regarding compliance of this application with the required
criteria. Comments should identify the specific criteria of concern along with facts in support of the
comment. Per 38.250.070.B, BMC, issues not raised during public comment period may not be raised
on appeal. During the notice period the City will continue review for compliance with applicable
regulations.

Summary: Site Plan application for new construction of (1) 2 apartment buildings, containing 40
rental dwelling units; (2) plus accessory parking and open space. The Applicant seeks a Departure
from the Landscape Block Frontage requirement to have each ground-floor dwelling’s front door face
the street; they propose an alternate design in which the front door lies at a 90-degree angle from the
street within a courtyard patio. They also request a Departure from the ground-floor patio enclosure
standard by providing an 18-inch seat wall instead of a 32-inch tall fence or hedge.
