Good day, I hope this finds you well. Several years ago my wife and I realized several of our retired friends who'd
planned to live the rest of their lives on their savings were being forced out of our community due to raising
standards of living so we decided to take proactive action. We purchased ten acres of land north of Manhattan where
we built an off grid home out of refuse from the Gallatin County construction industry, worked to raiuse a small
alpaca herd, and planted several hundred shrubs and trees as the upper layers of our food forest.
Which is why I write today, during the coming year we will build fencing around the food forest, incorporate ducks
and chickens with a small pond, and plant additional layers of the food forest. We would like to emulate what
Kareen and her crew have done at Story Mill and I write you in hopes of working with you to secure the following
AARP grant so Seniors in our community can take part in building this exciting addition to our community?
