Dear Mayor Mehl:
I am a 17 year old senior at Belgrade High School in Belgrade, Montana. I'm writing this letter to
address my concerns about a recent decision made with the painting of crosswalks in downtown
Bozeman.
The collaboration between the City of Bozeman and Gender Equality Montana allegedly cost
upwards of$5,100 which came out of taxpayers' wallets. I feel as though this money could have
been used in a more productive manner rather than committing a hefty sum of money towards a
project that has a high risk of being defaced.
Please consider utilizing taxpayers' funds towards more worthwhile projects that benefit the
community more so than an expensive cosmetic feature that many people disagreed with.
