Dick and Joy Schroeder are in favor of moving forward on the South Sixth reconstruction project. 2. We would like to see a traffic calming device installed at the corner of S. Sixth and Koch. Rather than adevice in the intersection, we recommend a four-way stop to slow the traffic. If the device is going to be inthe center of the intersection and because the intersection is small, we want the device to be smallenough so that large vehicles such as my (Joy's) handicap van can easily navigate around it to make aleft hand turn. We also want it removable for the winter for snow plowing.3. We recommend erecting a permanent barrier blocking entrance to S. Sixth at the intersection ofCleveland and S. 6th. This barrier would permit bike traffic only and allow no automobile traffic eithernorth or south. Over the 40 years we have lived at the current location, student traffic has becomeincreasingly common, with students driving upwards of 35 miles an hour in spite of the 15 mph limitaround Cooper Park. The safety of the whole neighborhood is compromised by those who are speeding. And the freshly paved new street may invite people to speed on S. 6th, in our opinion. However the issueis resolved, we are in favor of installing, and subsequently paying for, traffic calming barriers at bothCleveland and S. 6th and Koch and S. 6th. 4. We want some assurance that the street reconstruction will indeed take only 5 months and WILL NOTextend into the fall or, even more concerning, the winter season.5. If it is possible, we would like to see the reconstruction done in 2 or 3 sections where one section iscompleted and access restored for those homeowners. This request is so that handicapped individualslike me will not have to wait the full 5 months for unhindered home access from the street. 6. We do not want the concrete pad that butts up against the curb disturbed during the reconstruction. If itis, will the city replace it at their expense? This pad accommodates my wheelchair as I load and unloadfrom my van. Thank you Dick and Joy Schroeder408 S. 6th Ave. -----Original Message-----From: Katherine Maines <KMaines@BOZEMAN.NET>To: Katherine Maines <KMaines@BOZEMAN.NET>Sent: Fri, Nov 20, 2020 10:58 amSubject: S. 6th Proposed Reconstruction Project Good morning.
