I would like to go on record as opposed to the R5 zoning request for the proposed new development
Buffalo Run. I don't believe an R5 zone immediately adjacent to single family homes with lots of children
and pets and active people out using the streets is the best option. While I sympathize with the need to
create more affordable housing, I think a zone with lower density would be more compatible and have
significantly fewer impacts on the current neighborhood. I also strongly encourage the requirement that
Fowler be developed to city standards as a second access point rather than routing all traffic through
Meadow Creek. I think this would be an acceptable compromise that helps maximize safety.
