Subject: Buffalo Run proposal
Good morning,
I am worried that the only route to the proposed Buffalo Run development,
through Kurk, will be rendered impassable even before people move in. Dump
trucks, graders, cement trucks, backhoes, etc., will have to be brought to the
construction site. This road is some residents' only way out of our Meadow Creek
neighborhood. These streets are not built to accommodate heavy equipment use.
In addition, the 300+ vehicles per day using the street after construction
(according to the traffic study) will not be just light cars.
The developer should submit a plan assuring residents of Meadow Creek that
Kurk will not be destroyed in the construction process. Bozeman already has
infrastructure issues that take lots of time and lots of money to correct. Maybe we
don't need to rush to add another development.
