The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Montana Department
of Environmental Quality (DEQ) are hosting a public meeting about the
Idaho Pole Company (IPC) Superfund Site on January 13, 2021 from 6:30 to
8 pm. The meeting is a follow up to the December 3, 2020 public meeting.
Topics and discussions will cover potential redevelopment, groundwater
remedy selection and five-year review results.

The IPC Site,which operated a wood treating facility from 1945 to 1997, is
located near the northern limits of Bozeman,Montana. Historic practices
using pentachlorophenol to preserve the wood resulted in releases to the
underlying soil and groundwater.
