Subject: Northwest Crossing Subdivision -Affordable Housing
Hello Matt—
From what you told me/showed me last night, it sounds as if the plan is to build multi-family apartment homes
on Lots 15 and 16,with commercial development on the adjacent parcels zoned B-2M. Our inclusionary zoning
ordinance is not triggered, though multi-family housing stock and mixed commercial/residential does contribute
to addressing our community's shortage of affordable housing stock. Is the developer interested in including
residential dwellings with the proposed commercial development?
Should the plan change from multi-family on lots 15 and 16 to townhome or single detached homes, then an
Affordable Housing Plan will be required.
Future phases of subdivision review will have to meet the regulations on the books at that time.
See you Wednesday!
