Below is what I wanted to say: I'm not sure whether you had time to read Oxford Academic report from July 2020. It Is Time to Address Airborne Transmission of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) (https://academic.oup.com/cid/article/71/9/2311/5867798) I believe that you should find time to review this report. We all concern about the health of the public. If this is true than the most important question regarding covid-19 related measures is what is the ultimate goal of these measures? Is it to prevent people from being infected or is it to reduce the risk of developing severe symptoms or dying from the disease and improve overall health of the public? Based on the evidence we have so far, none of the enforced measures meant to prevent people from being infected work. If these measures didn't work in 2020, it's hard to believe that they will work in 2021. On the other hand, thanks to a vaccine and currently available treatment, reducing the risk of developing severe symptoms is achievable and affordable. Health of the public depends on healthy economy, emotional health and physical health of individuals. When people are so afraid of being tested positive for COVID-19 that they skip their doctor's appointments, the public health is at risk. When business owners are afraid that they can be closed or fined by not following bureaucratic rules, they cannot operate, the health of economy is compromised. When law enforcement officers forced to chose between punishing people for a natural behavior or keeping their jobs, their emotional health is put in jeopardy. When children are required to wear masks and are raised to believe that by exchanging smiles they can kill somebody miles away, both their physical and emotional health are at risk of being ruined. COVID-19 pandemic should be a wake-up call for everyone whose life choices put them at high-risk populace. Our lung capacity matter, our healthy weight matter, our emotional health and stress levels matter. All the previous measures made life-style changes for this category of people literary impossible to achieve. As with every other medical decision, people have to be fully informed regarding benefits and risks of covid- related measures. Under previous administration we didn't have this information, we didn't have a chance to make informed decisions, we didn't have choice. We have to have this choice now.
