To Whom It May Concern,
The current political environment is causing a number of our citizens considerable stress.
They feel attacked and targeted. As we have seen at our nation's capitol, they are acting out. I
am concerned that in the coming weeks the standard security protocols at our public schools
may not be adequate to address the new increase in risk that these individuals present. I
propose that we add a standing guard at all public schools until after the inauguration, say
1/22.
My son was 2 when Sandy Hook occurred. The memories of those grieving parents are
carved into my memory. I think that given the current uncertainty we would all feel better if
we took some action now and nothing occurred rather than doing nothing and living with the
fall out.
