Corwin - Buffalo Run DevelopmentFrom: Carrie Corwin To: Agenda Cc: Noah Corwin Subject: Housing Opposition - Buffalo Run R-5 Date: Monday, January 11, 2021 3:25:39 PM To Whom it May Concern, We want to take the opportunity to oppose the proposed Buffalo Run high density condo complex. As a resident of Meadow Creek who resides on Kurk Drive, the expected traffic flow from the development would increase risk to our young child and other children who frequently play in and around our yard and ride bikes around the neighborhood. We often walk or ride bikes to Ainsworth park and use the playground there. Losing park space would negatively impact our enjoyment of the Meadow Creek subdivision park space and the additional traffic would turn our quiet, low density, neighborhood into a through way. There are no lights or cross walks to assure the safety of neighborhood pedestrians or joggers. The traffic impact study for Buffalo Run indicates that 2,140 vehicle trips per average weekday is anticipated along Kurk Drive. The traffic generated from Buffalo Run will measurably exceed the standard level of service capacity for Kurk Drive. Generally, service capacity of a Residential Road is <1,500 vehicle trips per day. Due to our stated reasons we strongly oppose the Buffalo Run complex. Thank you for your consideration, Carrie and Noah Corwin 3306 S. 28th Ave. Sent from my iPhone
