Subject: Concern regarding the Buffalo Run proposed development

To whom it may concern, and the developers involved in this plan,
My husband, young daughter, and I live in the Southbridge subdivision and have come to love
our access to the open parks, budding community, and peaceful day-to-day of the
neighborhood. I learned of the Buffalo Run plans earlier today, and my heart sank
immediately.
Brad and I both grew up in Bozeman, and feel extremely fortunate to be in a position to
have good jobs, a home we own, and a safe neighborhood in which to raise our daughter. The
Buffalo Run development is absolutely the opposite of what we hope for in our community. I
have to ask frankly, and without assumption, but have you driven through the neighborhood?
Have you noticed that it doesn't connect to any public transportation, that the roads already
cannot handle the resident load that's currently there, and that the proposed area for building is
surrounded largely by working, family farms? I would encourage you to physically step out
into the neighborhood and look around. The city park is the only one we have, and particularly
during the pandemic, we cannot afford to lose that. The flood plane cannot handle more
development in that area, and we already have substantial flooding, freeze, and thaw concerns
without this development.
We value our homes, our neighbors, and our tight community here. As Bozeman grows, we
absolutely have to be mindful of the type and consciousness of that growth. What is happening
to my beautiful, beloved town? I have extreme pride, ownership, and commitment to Bozeman
and I am not alone in that. I urge you to listen to the community. If you build, be part of the
community, and that means listening to our needs.
Thanks so much for considering, and for hearing my passion and commitment to growth that's
sustainable, makes sense, and contributes to our existing neighborhoods.
Hope you are healthy and safe,
Hillary Rasker
