Mr. Saunders,
I am writing to let you know of my opposition to the R5 zoning of the Buffalo Run
Subdivision. As a resident of the Meadow Creek Subdivision the proposed subdivision and
traffic increase will lead to traffic concerns and deterioration of our neighborhood. My wife
and I moved from Wisconsin to Bozeman over a year ago and ultimately decided on our
current home because of the minimal amount of traffic and overall safety of this
neighborhood. When we were looking at homes we saw many young families out and about,
kids riding their bikes and people enjoying Ainsworth park. We saw it as a perfect community
to start our family in. With R5 zoning and the increase in traffic this will seriously impede
much of that. The roads throughout the subdivision will be far too congested for what they
were designed for, making it quite unsafe for kids to be out riding their bikes. The entry point
to the subdivision going through the park will take away from its peacefulness and make it
congested with traffic and could lead to it being quite unsafe for children as well. This area
does not meet the designation for R5 zoning either. There is no easy access to amenities at all
for the proposed Buffalo Run Subdivision.
