Hello,
As concerned residents of Meadow Creek, we are writing to voice a few points of opposition
to the proposal for the Buffalo Run R5 condominium complex to be constructed adjacent to
our R1 neighborhood. Our major concern is the entirely thoughtless and
inappropriate proposed use of our quiet neighborhood roads as a throughway for a high
density complex, adding nearly 2,200 additional vehicle trips per day. We are worried how
this increase in traffic will impose immediate risks for our three young children and all of the
other families in our neighborhood.
Please consider our attached concerns as you evaluate the feasibility of this project.
Respectfully,
Erik Walnum

RE: Protest Against Application #20112
Dear Mr. Saunders
We are writing to voice our strong objections to the proposed Buffalo Run Condominium complex that is
currently planning to overrun our quiet and peaceful neighborhood with an inappropriate volume of motor
vehicle traffic.
Our primary concerns are:
Safety - We have three young children and one dog. The traffic study shows an estimated 2,140
additional vehicles driving directly through our two-lane roads to access the 288 proposed R5
condominiums. Our home is three houses away from a primary intersection of this proposed traffic flow.
This is NOT ACCEPTABLE!!
Parkland - The developer wants to build a road through Ainsworth Park, a park already too small for our
neighborhood. We enjoy this park with our children nearly every day of the week. Especially from the
time COVID joined us all, we often visit the park twice a day. This access road would shrink Ainsworth
Park if not destroy it altogether. This is NOT ACCEPTABLE!!
Housing density - How could anyone in their right mind consider directly connecting R1 to R5 ? For
every reason we strongly object to this consideration. There are no nearby services for the R5
community. We also envision an abundance of overflow parking from a multitude of additional motor
vehicles, trailers and the like ending up in Meadow Creek. This all diminishes the character of our
neighborhood.
Respectfully,
Erik and Mollie Walnum
