Subject: Buffalo Run subdivision application # 20112

Dear City Commissioner and Staff,
These are my current and future concerns and protest on the application of Buffalo Run Subdivision #20112:
1. The traffic impact alone is very dangerous. A variety of thundering construction
vehicles passing my back yard within a 50 feet on 27th Ave. The Meadow Creek community has many young
families with small children and school aged children and teens. There are school bus stops on corners at Kirk and
27th, street collectors.
Community members run, walk, skate and bike these sidewalks and roadways daily.
The other important safety concern and problem is these street collectors Kirk and 27th ,are one way in and one way
out traffic. This is problematic I’m sure for emergency vehicles. My concern is high volume of moving vehicles.
2. The R5 rating is rather dense rating and only seen in very small areas near and close to commercial centers. We
are a least 3 miles to the nearest quart of milk. Not anywhere near us here! We here in Meadow Creek are rated
between R1-R3 and we are plenty close enough.
3. Water. Water pressure, water issues. This proposed annexation would overwhelmingly take advantage of ALL
present services- it would tap into our established water, gas, electric, sewage and most importantly our small busy
community roads. In addition the planning would take land from our small existing park. No thanks!
4. I’m concerned also about the value of our home here in booming Bozeman. I’m concerned about the sense of
sprawl. Which is beyond sad. The south side of Bozeman is big and expanded enough. I would rather have 20 acres
of cattle, cow or horses out there.
Thank you for your time and energy
Yours,
Linda Lyon
