Members of the Council:
I am writing to support the amendment to Ordinance 2059, Provisional
Adoption of Bozeman Cohousing Text Amendment, to Create a New
Residential Type, Apartment Building, Limited, Establish Standards for the
Type, and Assign it to Specific Zoning Districts, under consideration
tonight. This amendment contributes to increasing affordability in the R-3
zone and supports age-in-place projects. Both benefit the entire
community.
I am pleased that the amendment received unanimous support from both
the Zoning Commission and City staff, and believe that their informed and
professional opinions strongly support passage of the amendment.
