Dear Members of the Bozeman Zoning Commission,
My husband and I write in opposition to the proposed Buffalo Run Development which is slated to be considered at
your meeting on Monday, January 11, 2021.
This development is inconsistent with the entire area for which it is proposed.
It is NOT adjacent to a mixed use district, it is NOT served by transit to accommodate it’s proposed higher density,
it is NOT in close proximity to jobs and services.
This development is completely incompatible with the surrounding area which is comprised primarily of single
family homes. The R-5 high density usage is unsuitable for this property and the surrounding area. The adverse
consequences and disruptions that would undoubtedly occur to all of those living in Meadow Creek and
Southbridge are clearly evident. The entire atmosphere of those neighborhoods would change dramatically. We
have all moved to those neighborhoods for the quiet enjoyment we were seeking in purchasing our homes there.
Of course, we understand that the property will undoubtedly be developed eventually. It should be developed with
an R-1 designation in an effort to maintain the community spirit that is integral to living in our beautiful city.
Please take the comments of all residents into consideration and deny this application. There is a use for this
property that is certainly more in keeping with our community than the Buffalo Run development.
