The property at 438 E. Mendenhall St. is a modern commercial structure built in 2008. It is a two-story building, rectangular in shape,
with the primary façade facing north. The shed roof slants at an angle from front to back, with wide overhangs and supporting rafter-tails. It is likely built with a metal frame structural system, with a concrete foundation. The exterior of the main façade is clad with
concrete blocks at the sidewalk level, brick on the two main floors, and metal vertical siding in the extra 1/2 story that tops the upper level; horizontal banding of concrete runs between the floors. The sides of the building are clad in vertical metal siding. Large fixed-
lite windows, set between narrower lites, are symmetrically arranged on all floors. The building is divided into two blocks, with a deeply recessed entry creating a protected above-grade entry passage. The property is in excellent condition.
