The current structure is concrete and brick and has an irregular plan shape with an angled rear wing extending southwest from the rear (south) elevation. The building is faced in brick and the roof is gabled with gabled dormers, all covered in asphalt shingles. The primary façade faces north onto W Main St. The main entry consists of a pair of doors centered in a recessed bay on the façade. There is a flat roofed canopy above the entry and expansive banked windows on the second and third stories. Windows throughout the building are paired metal fixed-lite, tinted-glass windows. A clockface is at the east end of the façade. The rear (south) elevation has three drive through teller lanes on the ground floor of the angled wing. Paved parking fills the rear of lot. The previously recorded building (24GA0919) has been demolished. The building recorded is modern, built in 2004. Since originally recorded by James R. McDonald Architects in 1984, the historic structure has been demolished and, in 2004, replaced with the current modern bank building. This record reflects the current building, which is not historic and does not satisfy Criterion Consideration G (properties that have achieved significance within the past 50 years). Metcalf therefore recommends the property not eligible for inclusion in the NRHP. MONTANA HISTORIC PROPERTY RECORD PAGE 6 Integrity Property Name: 202 W Main St Site Number: 24GA0919 UPDATE INTEGRITY (location, design, setting, materials, workmanship, feeling, association) The originally recorded site 24GA0919 was demolished and replaced with a modern bank building in 2004. As such, it no longer retains historic character sufficient to convey its historic character. All aspects of integrity have been compromised.
