City Commision,
I feel strongly that Kagy should not be turned into a three lane road, let alone a four lane road.
If it's necessary to expand the road, three lanes seems more reasonable financially and in termsof reducing traffic, which should not be the main point of discussion. Our city's plan should
focus less on worrying about how to reduce traffic times for people commuting in cars andway more time creating solutions to move PEOPLE around, including bike lanes, sidewalks,
and most importantly, public transportation. Why do we continue to focus on the growth ofcars in Bozeman and make conversations like these revolve around them? My head is
swimming with the same talking points over and over and over again. Yes, the growth of ourcity is inevitable but the continuing fixation on how to address this increased car usage is
myopic and frankly kind of pathetic. We can do so much more with the brilliant minds in thistown who all want Bozeman to be growing sustainably. We're going to wake up one day and
have smog like SLC and say, man, if only we had done something differently.
Sincerely,
A troubled, young millennial wishing for more than the status quo (India Maxwell)
