Please do not approve the $15 million for the expansion of Kagy Boulevard. This expansion is not in line
with the city's plans to reduce greenhouse emissions. Expanding the road would just encourage more
vehicles and more traffic and more emissions.
The money would be better spent and be in line with the greenhouse reduction plans, by installing a
roundabout at Willson thus reducing cars idling and backing up at the stoplight currently in place. The
roundabout would keep traffic flowing and not encourage the use of more single passenger vehicles.
The money not spent on the roundabout should be assigned to Streamline to improve the public
transportation options within the city limits. There is a current future plan in place along with expansion
options that would better benefit from this funding than enlarging Kagy.
