As noted in a previous commission meeting, subdivision and development approvalfor compact affordable development, at times, hinges on the ability of the city to move its equipment, including fire trucks, garbage trucks, backhoes, snow removal equipment, etc., through the proposed development. The Bridger View Development being a case in point. When the CIP is considered at Tuesday's meeting, I believe that Commissioner Cunningham is going to amend the motion forapproval to request that, prior to purchasing any major equipment, the requesting department provide an analysis of the benefits anddrawbacks of purchasing more agile equipment that would allow / encourage more compact and affordable development and purchasethe smaller equipment if the results of the analysis support it. I urge your support of this amendment as a move toward making a positivestep to further Goal N-3 of the recently adopted Community Plan – Promote a diverse supply of quality housing units. Thanks for your consideration. Kevin Thane (406)587-7534
