The vote Tuesday night on the Bozeman Climate Plan is an historic moment on that path. However, I am very concerned about NorthWestern Energy's role in seriously weakening the electricity section. I urge you to publicly commit to rewriting that section to include a clear and urgent demand that NorthWestern Energy provide clean, renewable electricity to Bozeman and cancel its plan to add additional gas generation. Moreover, the plan is based on NorthWestern?s false promise to reduce its ?carbon intensity.? Please remove all references to this deceptive metric and commit to advocating for clean energy. From:Barbara Sirovatka To:Agenda Subject:[SENDER UNVERIFIED]Oppose - Kagy Widening Date:Monday, December 21, 2020 10:28:04 AM Dear City Commission: This is to voice my opposition to the proposed Kagy widening project. How can increasing traffic lanes through a college campus, and consequently emissions and speeding vehicles, contribute to our community’s quality of life? The city planners seem to have a split personality. You can’t commit to environmental accountability while increasing road traffic through a comparatively lightly trafficked area. The campus and neighboring quiet residential areas would be much better served by a more extensive network of multi-use asphalt pathways to encourage pedestrians and cyclists, making Bozeman more liveable and healthy.
