Katz - Kagy BlvdFrom:Amy Katz To:Agenda Subject:Kagy Blvd Date:Monday, December 21, 2020 8:00:00 PM I think it is good that we have to drive relatively slowly on Kagy and I do not think we need to focus on widening the road. Drivers will have to stop whenever a college student or otherpedestrian uses the cross walks near the Stadium. I propose that we use the funds we would use to widen the road and instead construct 3 pedestrian/bike lane overpasses. This will reducethe back up of cars needing to stop for pedestrians. Kagy is heavily used by runners, walkers, bike riders. However, the "bike" lane is dangerous heading East after Kagy Corner. The speed limit is 35 mph so people drive 40 and cut thecorner into the bike lane very often. Additionally, we do not put resources into keeping the "bike lane" cleared of ice and snow, so I am discouraged from using it. This shortens theweeks when I would otherwise ride my bike to work. Why not use the money to encourage walking/biking AS OPPOSED to encouraging more cars and driving faster? Thank you,Amy Katz Bryon Aas421 Cutting St Bozeman MT 59715
