Dear Commission,
Thank you for your leadership and strong support of the updated Climate Plan. I have
participated in the process and commend Bozeman Staff, Leadership and Contractors on producing a comprehensive approach to achieving Carbon Neutrality.
I am so proud of of our community in creating this plan it is a model for other communities
across Montana and beyond.
I strong support the Climate Plan and urge you to VOTE YES for adoption on December 22, 2020.
In contrast, the proposal to expand Kagy is a potential investment in the WRONG DIRECTION.
This Kagy proposal is incongruent with not only the Climate Plan’s goal of reducing reliance
and use of motorized transportation, as well Bozeman and MSU Sustainability plans, Bike plans and efforts to improve transit with the Streamline, Bozeman and MSU partnership.
There are other projects that would be far better investments (i.e. College) and in line with the other goals of our community and these forward thinking plans. Honestly, Kagy is simply not
a priority.
I urge you to re-direct funding to a project that is aligned with multiple community goals and plans and VOTE NO on the Kagy expansion project.
