What is the city doing about the homeless persons we see lying on Main Street sidewalks and in the small
park near Rouse and Main? We do not want Bozeman to become another Seattle, San Francisco or
Portland. Those cities have allowed the homeless situation to become a disgrace. These homeless are
suffering from drug or alcohol abuse or have mental issues. The City needs to have the police move these
individuals to shelters where they can be safe and treated. If the homeless person refuses a shelter then jail
is the other option. Taxpayers and families should not be subjected to homeless persons sleeping on our
streets and in our parks. As in the aforementioned cities, we all know where they defecate and urinate!
