CAHAB discussion of City of Bozeman Engineering Design Standards Review scoping process. CAHAB will finalize a list of ideas related to housing affordability to be forwarded to staff for consideration in the writing of the scope of work for the selected consultant team, Morrison Maierle – DOWL. a) Request for Proposal, Proposal materials and slide deck from Morrison Maierle - DOWL b) Staff Memorandum and draft list of ideas for CAHAB member review and comment Suggested Motion: Having reviewed the materials provided, I move to approve CAHAB’s recommendations as discussed and memorialized by staff for inclusion in the scope of work that initiates a review of City Engineering Design Standards to identify potential changes that could reduce barriers and encourage affordable residential development and preservation. G. Discussion 1. CAHAB member progress reports on information and resources they are gathering to provide basis for discussion and recommendation to staff on including condominiums in the scope of the Affordable Housing Ordinance. Discussion will include using square footage of developed homes as a means of calculating affordable housing requirements. Next steps for this project will be discussed. a) Condo Inclusion Strategy b) Red Lined Division 38.380 Affordable Housing 2. Clarification of the City’s upcoming policy review projects, including an audit of the Unified Development Code, as well as a review/update of city policies as they relate to affordable housing. 3. Discussion of a CAHAB recommendation to the City Commission to approve 7 mills for the Community Housing Fund in the FY22 Budget. 4.
