Please allocate substantial funding for building "stand-alone" paths and trails, over $900,000
per year, starting in 2022. We also need at least $200,000 allocated towards building a path onCity property along Frontage Road, between Nelson Road and Springhill/19th. We in the
public need safe trails to bicycle and walk. I’ve been here 41 years and the only trail buildingis through nonprofit GVLT and the M-pathway on Bridger Drive. We need you to prioritize
the ability for us to exercise, get to and from work, shopping, medical appointments onseparated trails in addition to formal roads. This will help all kinds of people from low income
to those who want exercise, and help us get to your climate change goals. We want vegetation, trees, shrubs, wildlife along these as much as possible to enjoy nature. Roads have fast
vehicles, noise, pollution, accidents – are just plain scary when we have to do everything incombination with vehicle drivers. In the interim, we need all roads and highways to be
designed and built with extra paved width instead of skinny sides with “barrow pits”, weeds, uneven surfaces so it is safe for bicycles and walkers to use these roads paid for with their tax
payers. Thank you.
