Guggenheim - Bike pathFrom:Marilyn Guggenheim To:Agenda Subject:Bike path Date:Tuesday, December 1, 2020 2:27:12 PM Dear Commissioners: For the health, safety, and economic well-being of Bozeman, I write to ask you to allocate funds from the 2022 General Fund Budget for: (1) building "stand-alone" paths and trails starting in 2022. And also 2) at least $200,000 towards building a path on City property along Frontage Road (between Nelson Rd., and Springhill/19th). It's important to note that people can commute on these bike paths too, especially low- income workers with unreliable cars, and while I'm happy we have the Streamline bus, a bike goes a long way toward connectivity between bus stops. With low-wage workers priced out of the inner core of Bozeman, a bike path to work can expand their job opportunities beyond those accessible only by car. Thank you for your time and your service.
