I am quite concerned over the following: 82 acres on the Idaho Pole site were "delisted" from the Superfund National Priorities List (NPL) last year, but the saturated soils beneath the surface remain on the NPL. Digging into the saturated soils will be necessary for any development. Why is the City incentivizing urban density and 'an extension of downtown' on the Idaho Pole site before determining whether it is safe to do so? The Ida/Cottonwood Tinworks Project AND the Brewery Project is scheduled to be complete by 2023. These developments will bring an 'extension of downtown', increased urban density, and the potential for more traffic impacts. The rapid growth in our area needs to be carefully planned. Thank you for your consideration.
