Dear City Commissioners,
I am writing to ask the City to take action concerning the herds of deer living in southside
neighborhoods. We have lived on a side street off Wagon Wheel for over 30 years and the
growth of the deer population in the past 10 years is out of control and has become a public
nuisance. They decimate gardens, shrubs, flowers, and trees, devouring even what are
considered deer resistant plants. They are dangerous to drivers and bicyclists, especially
children on bikes. I believe other cities in Montana have relocated deer from neighborhood
areas and I would like to know if we could do the same here in Bozeman.
