Dear Bozeman City Commission,
I am writing this letter to ask for funding for the Westlake Park Dirt Jumps. This park has been a positive
influence on me and my friends lives. While attending Montana State University, my friends and I used this
park as a place to decompress from classes and to become better bikers. It was devastating to see the
jumps become smaller in order to expand parking. I have always known Bozeman to be a beautiful outdoor
area and now I see it turning into a bustling city with no place for any youth to bike. As an Emergency
Department Tech and future medical student, I believe that this place is a safe place for all ages to come
and grow as bikers. The community of bikers around Westlake has become family to me throughout the
years. This is one of the few places in Bozeman that alcohol and drugs do not have a part here. I am asking
you to consider funding this small piece of Bozeman that has such a large impact on so many happy
