Main St consists of a one-and-a-half-story structure built around 1900 in the Queen Anne style of architecture, a modern detached garage built in 2006, and a free-standing modern storage shed. Listed in 1987 as a contributing feature within the Cooper Park Historic District, the house is now a mixed use commercial property. The roof is cross-gabled, with a nested front-facing gable and a deep porch spanning the asymmetrical façade. The footprint is rectangular, and the foundation is stone under the main house and brick is used as skirting under the wide front porch. A small hipped roof addition is located on the rear elevation. The exterior is clad in horizontal wood siding on the first story, and with wood shingles in a houndstooth pattern in the gable ends. The roof is clad in asphalt shingles. The primary or north façade is asymmetrical with a projecting nested gable on the west half of the façade. The entry is above-grade with the front door just east of center under a deep flat porch roof. An original large fixed-lite window with a leaded glass transom is to the east of the front door. West of the front door is a three-sided projecting bay with deep, open porch. The porch is supported by slender, stylized Doric columns, which are connected by wrought-iron railings. The front-facing bay has an original large, fixed-lite window with a leaded glass transom. The side bay windows are one-over-one-fixed lite windows. The nested gable above the bay porch has a single window in the gable peak, and heavy cornice returns. The gable-front above the door has a one-over-one-lite window in the original opening. Both the façade gables are clad in decorative wood shingles. The east elevation has an original one-over-one-lite window near the north end on the first story. A smaller window is to the south. Access to the rear door is afforded via the east side of the single-story hipped-roof addition at the rear of the east elevation. In the shingled gable-end of the second-story dormer is an original one-over-one-lite window. The rear or south elevation has a shallow hipped-roof addition on the east half, protecting the access to the back door of the original building. Two large divided-lite windows are at the east end of the addition. To the west is an original one-over-one-lite window. On the second story an original one-over-one-lite window is centered under the gable peak, and a smaller original window is tucked close to the east eave. The garage, built in 2006, is located at the south and west corner of the rear yard, and is a tall single-story, wood-frame, gable-roofed structure built on a concrete slab. The paneled sectional garage door is on the south elevation, facing onto the alley. The garage is clad in modern vinyl siding and roofed with asphalt shingles. To the west of the garage is a gambrel-roof modern wood storage shed. The site is currently listed in the NRHP as a contributing feature of the Cooper Park Historic District. Metcalf finds that the site has sufficient integrity to convey its historic character and retain its listed status.
