REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP)
CITY OF BOZEMAN
Bozeman, MT
The deadline to submit questions regarding the RFP has been moved to Monday, November
16th.
The following questions and responses are for your information:
1. Do you have an expected timeline for when you would like the work completed?
The project would ideally be completed in late Spring 2021
2. With the COVID-19 pandemic impacting gathering are you expecting the stakeholder
engagement to be in-person or virtual?
We are currently planning for in-person engagement, but please include how in-person methods
would be modified for a virtual format.
3. Will the research be focused on people living and/or working within the City of Bozeman city
limits or will the research include all of Gallatin County (which aligns with the boundaries for the
Bozeman micropolitan area according to the Census Bureau) or some other boundary?
The research will be focused on people who live and work in the City of Bozeman. Data will
come from multiple sources however, and may include information from beyond Bozeman City
limits. For example: census tracts, blocks, block groups; Gallatin County; other agency partners;
community organizations
4. Does the city have a policy regarding indirect/administrative costs, specifically a cap on those?
The City of Bozeman does not have a policy on indirect or administrative costs.
5. What role do city staff envision taking in the project?
The project manager and an internal team of City Staff will guide and review the consultant’s
work throughout the process during regular check in meetings. The internal project team will
help clarify the scope and goals of the project, provide access to current data, reports, and
information as it pertains to ongoing work on equity and inclusion in the City of Bozeman. The
project team will also help guide stakeholder outreach and make connections with internal and
external contacts to participate in engagement efforts and the gaps analysis.
