Dear members of the Bozeman City Commission,
I am writing this email to express my strong support for the adoption of the proposed Pole Yard Urban
Renewal District Plan, including the creation of the Tax Increment Financing District as a financing tool to
help achieve the Plan goals. As I am sure you know, the northeast neighborhood of Bozeman historically
has struggled in its economic development efforts which has been exasperated by the presence of the
Idaho Pole Superfund site. I believe that by adopting the plan that the City will be able to advance
significantly the economic development of this neighborhood by in particular providing public funding
through the TIF for infrastructure development. The enhancement of this neighborhood will make
Bozeman a better city-wide community.
Thank you for the opportunity to comment on this important public policy proposal.
