Elements of the design such as the overall form, dormer and Mayan arched porch openings, are commonly found in early 20th century house pa-tt-nrn books. William W. Lamb, variously listed in city directories as a rancher, and janitor at the Gallatin County Courthouse, is listed as the owner on the 1913 sewer permit. He may have built this house upon retirement from ranching. In 1927, Alva H. Emery was living here. Bibliography Application for Sewer Connection, July 11, 1913, W.W. Lamb, Budd (agent) .
