There are many residents that live out along East Valley Center Road and use the separate pathway there. A safe connector trail under the interstate over to the frontage road and along there to the M would open up a whole new area for those people to ride or walk. My husband and I live west of town off of Huffine but we ride over in the area north of town frequently and that section crossing under the interstate from East Valley Center to Frontage Road then up to Nelson Road is sketchy and dangerous. The tremendous increase in traffic the past couple years has made it even more so. We are experienced riders with almost 35,000 miles on our tandem bicycle (and 10,000 on my single bike). We've ridden coast to coast, over mountain passes and through downtown Cleveland. We've ridden nearly every paved road in and around Gallatin County and, sadly, have had to give up riding some of those roads (Stucky, Love Lane to name a couple) because we fear for our safety now. The frontage road connector path would open up a safe path for many residents, ourselves included. (I can see us taking a morning ride out to Four Corners, along the Jackrabbit path to the Valley Center path and up to the M.) Please consider funding the Funding the Frontage Road Path as a priority. Thank you.
