Oct 7 mtg - filling open Commission Seat
I am going to pioneer ranked choice voting here since I think there are a variety of qualified and capable
candidates (good news for Bozeman!).
My fist choice is for Christopher Coburn. Public health is an enormously important factor in virtually every
decision the commission faces and will face in the near future and adding that perspective as the
commission does its work would be very useful. I also think that demonstrating that we as a community put
our vote where our strategy is regarding inclusiveness is quite important.
My second choice is for Mark Egge. He has worked effectively in volunteering for both our parking and
planning boards and is well-versed in the complex inter-relationships of both defacto and dejure land
choice/allocation decisions we have and are making and how those decisions impact affordability,
transportation and livability for our city.
Either (or both - pack the commission?!?) would make an immediate contribution to the work of the
commission.
Thanks to the commission for your commitment and work on our behalf. I'm not exactly sure why you are
willing to do it but I'm thankful that you do.
