Bozeman City Commission:
I write today in support of the nomination of Chris Coburn for the position of City Commissioner. As
a medical student and as a Bozeman community member, I have met Chris through classes and non-
profits as an educator dedicated to promoting equity for our community.
Chris is passionate about equity and public health, thoughtful in his interactions, and a great
communicator. His expertise in public health will help navigate our community through the ever
evolving challenges of life during COVID-19. On a personal note, his intersectional experiences as a
queer, Black Montanan working in a healthcare setting brings a different perspective allowing him to
connect with Bozeman-ites of many different backgrounds and experiences.
Now more than ever, as our country becomes more divided and COVID rates continue to rise, Chris
will bring kindness, thoughtfulness, and expertise to our community. Already he is involved with the
community through nonprofits, education, and community events and organizations—he has proven
he cares.
I urge you to please consider Chris Coburn for City Commissioner, I strongly believe he will serve
Bozeman to the best of his ability and help us as a community be the best to our ability.
