I would like to make a comment in favor of Chris Coburn.
- In this time, when our city is dealing with COVID, adding a public health expert to the commission just
makes sense.
- A big part of a City Commissioner's job is listening to folks in the community to better understand their
needs. Chris shows up to community events and is engaged with many organizations and non-profits in
town. I think showing up, and having and maintaining those kind of relationships are important things for a
City Commissioner to do in order to understand what our community needs and actively respond to it.
- Bozeman has never had a Black City Commissioner. Representation matters. I want my kid to grow up in a
city where local leadership includes folks from _all_ of the communities that live here. I also think it would
be invaluable to have someone who can speak to the experiences of racism in our town on the commission.
